At IWORKS, we see a world where African independents can connect together
O ur story begins in 2020, a year that will always be remembered. A year when containment helped some to reflect on their environment and develop ideas, concepts for the post covid period. This is how IWORKS was born, based on the fact that the freelancing market was embryonic in West Africa.
The first step was to understand African realities, namely how to perfectly index a matchmaking platform so that it is useful at all times and can meet the needs of different African citizens? in other words, to provide an alternative to employability and improve the professional insertion of African youth. This first challenge was solved by a progressive update of the platform and local actions to identify the needs of African consumers.
Thus the development of a real community of talents "workforce" that matures over time lays another stone in the realization of the freelancing market in Africa and internationally. The markets being interconnected this workforce can take advantage of the different axes where we intervene namely the project management industry, sourcing, training and strategic partnerships. It is about taking care of our workforce to create a real ecosystem.
We invite daily companies, partners, collaborators to participate fully in our ecosystem. IWORKS is rich in the involvement of the different parties with whom we evolve professionally. Our professional intervention is visible locally in the different countries where we are, between the countries of West Africa as well as internationally between Africa and Europe or USA. An important and critical step in the development of freelancing in French-speaking Africa but also a contribution to the existing in English-speaking Africa.
For companies we advocate Strategic partnerships, real digital levers, allowing the exchange of unique good processes in order to be able to intervene in a "360°" way on the market of professional collaboration. Many African and French companies have joined us in this sense so that the improvement of market processes evolves in the right direction.
More broadly, for entrepreneurs, we have created programs to impact and create a true culture of freelancing. Iworks talk, are a series of instagram lives where we invite renowned entrepreneurs to impact the ecosystem. Iworks4entrepreneur is a program we created to accompany young entrepreneurs in their dreams. And finally IWORKS cultours consists of trips to the regions of Senegal and different countries in West Africa to discover and impact widely.
